Seasonal Tractor Operator
We’re looking for Tractor Operators to join the Brownrigg Agriculture team in Hawke’s Bay for our upcoming cropping season starting September 2026 - April 2027.
Whether you're an experienced tractor operator or have good machinery experience and are looking to build your agricultural skills, we'd like to hear from you.

- A competitive hourly rate, $27 - $34 per hour dependant on skills and experience
- A six-day per week roster with consistent workflow throughout the whole season
- 80 hours per fortnight guaranteed so even in the rain, you're sorted.

What you'll be doing:
This isn't just driving up and down the same paddock. Depending on your experience, you'll be involved in a range of tractor and machinery operations across the cropping season, including ground preparation, cultivation, planting, crop work and harvest activities. You'll work with different implements and equipment throughout the season, giving you the opportunity to use your existing skills and develop new ones.
The right people will:
- Have at least two years’ experience operating tractors and ag equipment preferably in cropping, but other types are welcome to apply
- Have a current full Class 1 driver’s licence with a clean driving history
- Have a strong work ethic with a practical approach to problem solving
- Be mechanically minded
- Prioritise their safety and that of their team members
- Have the flexibility to work weekends and extended hours due to weather and crop requirements
- Have reliable transport
Pre-employment drug screening will be carried out.
